Columbus Marathon Fund Raiser

​Our Congratulations to Miss Heather Sheidler who competed in the Columbus Marathon, on Sunday, October 20, 2024. 
She came across the finish line with a time of 3:46:58, beating her old record, and qualifying for the Boston Marathon, if she chooses to enter that race! With the generous support from our families and others of Miss Sheidler’s supporters, she raised $1200.00 for this very worthwhile event.
She ran not only for herself, but for the Mile Champions at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  24 patients treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are selected to line each mile of the race, share their story and inspire others.  Each Marathon Mile champion picks a theme for their mile and is celebrated for their strength and bravery.  There is also one Angel Mile to honor those who are no longer with us and one Encore Mile where we recognize every patient who has lined the course in the past.  Together, they represent the more than 1.4 million patient visits to Children’s Hospital every year. Our families along with her other supporters raised $1200.00.
