Cold Weather
If the cold weather would ever decide that it is here to stay, it will be important for your child to dress appropriately so that he or she can participate in outdoor play.  The classes will go outside if the temperature is above 26 degrees and weather permits.  This becomes  challenging for your child to remember the additional articles of clothing.  Please discuss with your child colors, etc. of their clothing so that they may readily identify their things.  All items should be labeled so that we can help your child find what belongs to them.  We often have duplicate articles so labeling is especially important.  You may also want to change your child’s extra set of clothing that you provided at the beginning of the year.

When sending your child to school in snow boots, please make sure to send in a pair of shoes to change into.  Snow boots make it difficult for a young child to maneuver around the classroom during the day.

Planning Ahead

With all the special activities within the classroom this time of year, it would be helpful to know if your child will be absent prior to our Winter Break.  If you are planning on leaving early, would you please send a note letting us know.  Thank You!

Montessori classes will close when Dublin City Schools close, however we make every effort to keep the Extended Care program open.  You may call the school if you are in doubt, as the status of the school will be announced on our text system as well as on the voicemail.

A Heartfelt Message from Mrs. Roshon:
As we turn the page on the calendar to December, our thoughts of Thanksgiving, friends, family and feast frantically change to,  “What to get mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, uncle Joe, Aunt Sallie and Cousin Sue.”  As you begin to put your list together, I respectfully ask that my name be omitted.  This year especially, please focus on your immediate family and their needs.  Time is so precious, and there isn’t enough of it to go around.  So what pleases me is to think that our parents will give the gift of time to their children during the season of, “Not enough time.”  Take a walk together, our parks are terrific.  You’ll see things you normally won’t see during the spring or summer.  Experience the Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo, visit the Franklin Park Conservatory, COSI, or the Columbus Art Museum (admission is free on Sundays).  Cook dinner together, bake a treat, play a card game; Fish is great, so is Rummy and Blink.  Play a board game.  Have fun, laugh and love and enjoy each moment together.  These are the greatest gifts.  Time spent with your family is priceless.
With warmth and affection,
Mrs. Roshon

Thank you to all of our families for your generous contributions and participation in our Halloween Celebration! It was a wonderful day for all.

Little Baby Blessings Foundation
The Little Baby Blessings Foundation is still accepting donations for their
Christmas toy and  pajama drive!  Stop in and select a tag off our tree in the foyer to purchase a donation for the drive.  All donations must be in by the deadline of December 4th! Please keep donations together, with tag, when dropping off.  Thank you for all who have contributed, we are so proud to have such giving families at DMA!

Columbus Speech and Hearing
Columbus Speech and Hearing will be screening December 3rd. If you wish to have your child screened for speech and/ or hearing, please have the  form returned to the office no later than Tuesday December 2nd, with attached payment. No screening will take place without form AND payment. Thank you.

 Pick Ups Other than Parents
We all have occasions when we have additional people pick our children up from school.  When informing us of a pick up change, please provide a phone number of that person along with a written and signed note.

We wish you all a Happy Holiday Season!
